THE REAL EDINBURGH BIG FUN RUN
HOLYROOD PARK, SUNDAY 5th OCTOBER 2008
The Big Fun Run are a series of 5km runs that will take place in several UK cities; Edinburgh, Glasgow, Cardiff, Derby and Milton Keynes during September and October 2008. Aicha Reid, along with her husband Alan and friends, took part in the Edinburgh event on what was an unusually sunny day. Nice looking medal as well. Aicha wrote: "Attached is a photo from the 5km Edinburgh Big Fun Run on Sunday 5th October round Arthur's Seat. It was a bonny clear day with (thankfully) no wind. The friendly, relaxed atmosphere drew a crowd of walkers, run-walkers, fancy dress and a Beagle. There was good sign posting and marshalling although the course was really straightforward. A great race for beginners or just for a bit of fun."
Pictured are Nicola, Alan, Derek & Aicha. The girls did about 36 minutes whilst the boys ran ahead finishing several minutes faster.
