On a sunny June evening 5 ERNs took part in the annual Portobello Running Club 4 Mile Race. This event is an enter-on-the-day race with an excellent supporting children's 1 Mile Fun Run starting 30 minutes before the main event at 1915. The race registration and finish area was at the Indoor Bowling Club at Westbank Street/Portobello Promenade. The race was flat and exposed as you might expect but a great sense of achievement on completion; enjoyable, well marshalled, friendly and very good value at £5 for SAL members. Thanks to PRC for an enjoyable, well organised event. Thanks also to Gillian Grant for the support and photographs.
