I have just created my justgiving page where you can view my pics and keep up to date on which races I am running. www.justgiving.co.uk/laura-slater. There is a few pics on that page from the great winter run, the New York grid iron race and the Deerstalker I did in January, February and March.

I just thought I would drop you a wee note as I completed my race for April this morning, my 4th race for 12 races in 12 months - The Balfron 10k.

When they describe this race as "undulating" they were lying as this race was very very hilly. It's an out and back race on idyllic country roads with some fantastic scenery in north Lanarkshire. It was a very rainy morning but the sun gradually started to come out as the race got underway. The route followed a single track road past several farms and open farmland for 5k and turned back on itself at a small hump bridge. The course was very demanding and felt uphill both on the way out and back. I finished in 1h 7min, a PB but not as fast as I would have liked as some of the hills took their toll on me. So I am looking forward to a flatter and hopefully faster Great Edinburgh Run course next Sunday. Please see attached some pics."
