ERN SPRING RUN SERIES: LITTLE ERN's WEE BROTHER 10KM RUN

HOLYROOD PARK, EDINBURGH. SUNDAY 29th MARCH 2009

Elly Mackenzie had the closest predicted finishing time and got the prize.

Well done to the ERN's that took part in this variation of our annual Little ERN run. In essence, this is run over the same route but with a slight difference; back-to-front and starting and finishing at the Commonwealth Pool. A glorious Sunday morning, if a little windy and nippy, allowed for an enjoyable run round this scenic route. There was a prize (bottle of wine) for the closest predicted finishing time. This route has the benefit of a down-hill start and the big climb is early on, but misses out on the great down-hill finish of Little ERN. Strange how the same circuit-route can feel so different just by starting in a different place!

Congratulations to Elly for her predicted and achieved times. Congratulations are also due to Chris for a stonking run, not only coming in first but also in achieving her goal by finishing under 48 minutes. Fiona didn't enter a predicted-time as this was the middle section of a longer training run for her - good to see it going so well.

Well done to all - an enjoyable run in a fantastic setting. Thanks to Joanne, Murdo and Gordon Purves (on his bike) for marshalling on the day.
