Gillian's Autumn Runs 2007
Gillian Grant has been busy of late flying the ERN flag at a number of Scottish races. Some impressive times and events posted - well done.

" I flew the flag at the Dunbar 10 miler this Saturday (6th October). A challanging race as Fi will tell you. She's done it loads of times. Managed it in 1 29 50 which I was quite happy with cause first 4 miles are up hill all the way. Beautiful views when I finally staggered up to the top, and free tea and sandwiches aided the recovery.
Sunday was the Pitlochry 10k. 51.22. Support includes a pipe band and some lovely pine woods to run through and take your mind off the agony. And yes, more tea and sandwiches plus a black T shirt I will actually wear instead of handing straight into the charity shop !
And the attached photo is from the Cumbernauld 10k (53.07). Guys are Steve Blair and Mike Anderson from Corstorphine running Club, both of whom can run the socks of me I hasten to add !
Tracy Lazenby and I were both running the Jedburgh half. It was similar to Dunbar 10 miler in so much that I tried very hard to keep up with her, but watched her gradually disappear into the distance. She ran it in 1 49 23 and I managed 1.55.00. Not a day for a PB, very windy, there was a lot of talk about the horror hill at mile 11 but it's a scenic course, quality medal and a Mars Bar in the goody bag so it asn't all bad ! "
