ERN SPRING RUN. MEADOWBANK SPORTS CENTRE, EDINBURGH.
SUNDAY 28th MARCH 2010.
ERNs set-off in Holyrood Park after warming up.
22 runners (and 1 dog) turned out for this Sunday’s runs. Out today were Tracy, Jo (blonde), Krista, Chris, George, Mike, Murdo, Heather (Blonde), Fiona, Ros, Sharon, Elly, Ellie, Phil, Alan, Aicha, Laurie, Gillian, Eirwen, Val, (Tache) Gordon and Wendy. The dog was Lucy Lou!
There was a choice of a 7, 9 or 17 mile route. On the day, runners split nearly equally between the 9 and 17 mile routes enjoying a run through parks, along cycle tracks and the shoreline. Thankfully the weather stayed dry although there was a strong, cold, wind at times. The wind was particularly testing on the return section from Musselburgh, Joppa to Portobello but everyone made it back to Meadowbank Sports Centre cafe. A good day out with particular thanks to Laurie for her yummy malteser cakes and to Elly who had baked an equally delicious banana and Kaluha cake.
